ATO Members at the 2015 C.T.C.I. Convention in Albuquerque

Birds of Enchantment, 2015 CTCI Regional Convention, Albuquerque, NM

ATO members Merlin and Johanna Hoiseth, John and Brenda Shriver, Guy Saunders and Larry Renner celebrated 60 years of the Ford Thunderbird by traveling to Albuquerque, scene of a Regional Convention sponsored by the Pajarito Thunderbird Club. of New Mexico.  Merlin and Johanna drove their Willow Green 1957 Thunderbird over 750 miles from Burton to Albuquerque.  John and Brenda drove their 1956 Fiesta Red Thunderbird from Leander to Dallas and then over to Albuquerque.  About 400 participants arrived for the event.  Thirty-five classic Thunderbirds were entered in Concours class, thirty-five in Touring, and Thirty for Display.  Merlin and Johanna's 1957 Willow Green took First Place, Touring, 1957, Class B.  Merlin kindly took time to send the following photographs taken at the Albuquerque Convention.

Merlin & Johanna traveled with 5 other cars including the Shrivers', from Albuquerque to Abilene on Sunday (about 500 miles).  That left about 300 miles back to Burton.
